The first-term winter camping of schoolchildren started at comprehensive bases for extracurricular education and life.
A ceremony for starting camping took place at the Songdowon International Children's Camp on January 9.
It was attended by Paek Song Guk, chief secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, Ju Mun Jin, chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People’s Committee, the teaching staff of the camp and campers.
A similar ceremony was held at the December 6 Children’s Camp on the same day.
During the camping, schoolchildren will spend a good time of rest while conducting a variety of activities including skiing, cooking practice, sports and amusement games and artistic activities.
