A meeting was held on the 14th to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Pyongyang Middle School No. 1.
Present at the meeting were Hong Chol Jin, Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and teaching staff and students of the school. Principal Pang Sung Son made a report.
He said the 70 year-long history of the school is a glorious history of energetic leadership and warm love of the great leaders Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.
He called on all teachers to improve their qualifications and train the students as talented personnel with versatile knowledge and high cultural attainments, fully aware of the importance of their duty in the training of prodigies all the time.
After the meeting, the participants looked round the exhibition of achievements in education and science, enjoyed a performance and conducted various other political and cultural activities.
