Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from G. Zhuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on February 16.
He, in the message, extended congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the birth of Comrade Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people.
He said that Comrade Kim Jong Il devoted his whole life to the improvement of the Korean people's living standards and mobilized them to build a powerful socialist country with Songun politics in the unstable international situations by carrying forward the cause of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.
Under his wise leadership, the DPRK became an advanced power which has nuclear weapons, develops the most advanced technologies and provides all its citizens with excellent living conditions, he noted.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is successfully carrying forward the cause of Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il, he said, expressing his conviction that the friendly relations between the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Workers' Party of Korea would continue to grow strong and bring great fruition to the peoples of the fraternal two countries.
