Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Nampho Municipality of the DPRK is pushing ahead with the work to create raw material bases for implementing the regional development policy of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Officials of the non-permanent Nampho municipal committee for promoting the Regional Development 20×10 Policy have taken measures, making field survey of bases to be created.
They have kept close ties with relevant sector and units to rationally adjust and arrange raw material bases in favor of cultivation conditions while giving priority to the production of self-sufficing manure.
Onchon County is stepping up the work to create bases of raw materials necessary for normal production at regional-industry factories to be newly built.
Officials of its Party and power organs have ensured that seeds are properly selected and crops distributed in conformity with the characteristics of the coastline area and their per-hectare yield is raised through sci-tech manure and cultivation. They also push ahead with the work to secure various natural raw materials by using the sea.
The forest management units are striving to secure and spread seeds of high-yielding species of sugar and oil crops with high economic value, putting efforts into the cultivation of Evodia daniellii Benn, rape and other crops.
The material and technical foundations of raw materials bases are being consolidated amid the active efforts of officials, working people and citizens in the municipality. -0-
