Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The young people of the new generation in the DPRK, who grew up with the noble revolutionary spirit displayed by the wartime generation to win the great victory of heroic Korea, started the sacred march of succession.

The foot of Mt Sokpak in the capital city of Pyongyang associated with the spirit and feats of those who won the most precious victory in the unprecedentedly hard and bitter years and the brave fighters glorified by the Workers' Party of Korea as the eternal youth under the DPRK flag, was filled with the enthusiasm of the successors who cherished the glorious patriotic tradition and wonderful history.

The young vanguard's march of succession began at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on Friday to mark the 71st anniversary of the war victory, demonstrating the irresistible might peculiar to the DPRK where all generations are united in the spirit and feats of the victors of the great years.

Amid the playing of the song "Respects to Victors in Great Years", the vigorous march of the young vanguard started with the flag of the DPRK representing the country's history of invincibility and its rosy future, the immortal banner raised by the brave wartime fighters in the van of advance, at the head.

Ri Il Hwan, Pak Jong Chon and Pak Thae Song, secretaries of the C.C., WPK, Kim Jong Sun, department director of the C.C., WPK, and Mun Chol, chairman of the C.C., Socialist Patriotic Youth League, joined in the march.

The descendants of the frontline fighters made vigorous steps of succession, out of the single mind to firmly defend the precious prestige and honor won by the victorious wartime generation at the cost of their blood and to adorn the eternal history of the independent power with victories and glory.

Each column of marchers was carrying the portraits of revolutionary forerunners who performed distinguished feats in the history, regarding loyalty to the leader as their conscience, honour, morality and obligation rather than responsibility, and the heroes in the Fatherland Liberation War registered as models of the indomitable Korean people.

The marchers vigorously passed through streets of the capital city, bearing deeper in mind the immutable truth that the precious life and feats of the martyrs, who devoted their lives to the most sacred revolutionary cause under the guidance of the great leader, are always remembered by the Party, the revolution, the country and the people.

The ranks, holding up such placards and slogans as "Let's inherit the soul of the victorious wartime generation!", "Single-minded unity", "Our ever-lasting July 27, victory day" and "Vanguard fighters of class", were full of strong aspiration and desire to further glorify the history of heroic resistance made by the forerunners with a period of new victory, true to the leadership of the great Party Central Committee.

Wartime songs and hymns for the war victory reverberated throughout the capital city to encourage the successors who are determined to carry forward the noble spirit and tradition forever, created by the revolutionary forerunners in the long and bloody anti-Japanese war and the Fatherland Liberation War flames.

Streets of the capital city were filled with the strong spirit of the ranks of marchers reminiscent of the youths of the preceding generation who had courageously turned out in the sacred war for defending their beloved country soon after hearing the radio address of President Kim Il Sung .

The descendants kept in their minds more solemnly and dearly the glorious history of war victory and the course of unprecedented and vigorous struggle for firmly defending the inviolable dignity and honor of the DPRK.

The citizens of the capital city warmly cheered and applauded the ranks of young people vigorously advancing with their will and courage to bring shameful destruction to the enemies if they provoke the sacred DPRK.

"Let's become young vanguard unfailingly loyal to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un ", "Let's creditably carry forward the spirit of defending the country and the revolution in the 1950s" and other shouts resounded far and wide, reflecting the firm pledge to glorify the worthwhile youth for the Party, the country and the victory of our cause as befits the descendants of the proud war victor nation.

The young vanguard's march of succession was a significant occasion as it strikingly demonstrated the steadfast faith and will of the rising generation to vigorously advance in the vanguard of struggle for the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism and the great cause of building a rich country with strong army under the guidance of the great Party Central Committee with the truth of invincibility, taught by the miraculous victory of July 27, as a dynamic force for the revolution. -0-
