One mid-winter day in January 2012 when he visited a KPA unit in the northern area, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un told to launch the movement. It is one of the masses’ movements being launched throughout the Korean People’s Army.
It was one day in February 2013 which marked the 50th anniversary of the advancing of the slogan a-match-for-a-hundred by President Kim Il Sung that Kim Jong Un initiated to launch a movement for becoming crack shots as a new form of mass movement and clarified detailed methods of the movement by stressing that it should be launched through the firing competitions of artillery of different kinds.
Later he saw that a crack shot prize competition was organized to arouse competitiveness among artillerymen and increase the rank of crack shots. He also saw that diplomas, medals and badges were awarded to units and artillery men who would win in the competition.
The movement for becoming crack shots initiated and led by Kim Jong Un to perfect combat preparedness of the KPA is another mass movement that strongly trains its service personnel into invincible ones of courage.
