The Ministry of Fisheries is promoting the work to develop pisciculture.
It actively disseminates data on advanced science and technology to the offshore fish farms and introduces advanced technology into the culture grounds in diverse forms and methods.
It also draws up a plan to intensify researches into artificial fecundation technology and fry-raising technology and introduce the research findings into reality.
Along with it, the ministry pushes ahead with the work to find out right places suitable to cage-net fishing and tideland pond fishing to expand the area for mariculture and finish building offshore fish bases planned this year at an early date.
Measures are taken to introduce breeding fish of good breed which grow quickly while eating less feed into freshwater fish farming.
The freshwater fish breeding units are induced to push forward with the work to improve the technical knowledge and skills of the technicians and skilled workers and invent and introduce scientific fish-breeding methods suited to the physiological and ecological characteristics of fish.
