Looking at Even a Production Process

It happened several years ago when the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un looked round the shoemaking assembly line of a leather shoes factory.

An official of the factory informed him that the factory was saving much electricity by introducing advanced technology into the assembly line.

Then the respected General Secretary asked him if the electricity was saved only in that assembly line.

At that time, the factory had improved the adhesive intensity of the leather shoes much more than before while economizing in electricity at each drying furnace of the assembly line in the shoemaking shop.

After acquainting himself with it, he was satisfied with the success the factory had made.

The officials were moved by his undeserved praise.

Because the success achieved by the factory was a trifle in comparison with the tireless efforts of the respected General Secretary who visited several times and devoted himself to turning the small factory into the famous leather shoes one in the country.

But he considered their clear minds to think first of the country and make better shoes for the people in such a slight success.

That day the officials and employees kept deep in minds again that the modernization precisely means increased production and economy as well as improving quality.

Deeds of Youths He Highly Appreciated

One April day in Juche 104(2015), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station under construction covering the far and rugged road.

At that time, members of the shock brigade were transporting concrete mixture after erecting a curb pier made with logs in front of the power station No.1 and laying on it.

The respected General Secretary saw the curb pier created by the members of the shock brigade for economizing in the building materials including precious steel materials and cement and highly appreciated that the youths were admirable and such a method could be created only by our youths who have striven to save the cement and hasten the project period.

Inspired by his great love and trust, the shock brigade members performed eye-opening miracles to splendidly build the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station while boastfully displaying to the world the Korean youths’ indomitable spirit and mettle.

Issue He Was Deeply Concerned for

It happened one October day in Juche 103(2014) when the respected General Secretary looked round the completed apartment houses for educators of Kim Chaek University of Technology.

While making rounds of the houses and giving a precious instruction that day, he let his eyes rest on a local switch at a corridor.

The local switch had been installed so that the electric light could be turned on and off automatically whenever the persons pass the corridor.

Seeing the local switch, he instructed officials to install such local switches at the corridors of the flats and office buildings for the people’s conveniences and economizing in electricity.

The power saved by the local switch is trifling, but much electricity can be saved if such a trifle is generalized in all the families and units.

Looking up to the respected General Secretary, the officials were moved.

Indeed, the issue on the local switch was not trifling one.

Patriotism is not abstract conception.

That day the officials kept in their minds deeply his noble intention that the valuable mind to regard even a watt of electricity as a precious asset of the country and economize to the maximum in it is just patriotism.
