Rodong Sinmun Terms U.S. Imperialism Main Target of Struggle for Global Independence

Pyongyang, February 29 (KCNA) -- The world of justice desired by mankind dose not come of its own accord with the passage of time or with the development of civilization, says Rodong Sinmun in an article on Thursday.

The ideal of mankind can be realized only when the forces obstructing it are removed, the article says, terming the U.S. imperialism the main target of struggle for realizing the global independence.

The U.S. imperialism is the kingpin of the world imperialism making desperate efforts to persistently maintain the neocolonial domination system, says the article, and goes on:

The stronger the progressive mankind’s struggle against domination and subjugation and aggression and war by imperialism is growing, the more viciously the U.S. imperialists are trying to dominate the world.

The U.S. imperialism is the heinous aggressor openly engrossed in violating other countries' sovereignty.

The U.S. imperialists have infringed upon the sovereignty of other countries at random, going against the aspiration and demand of the international community.

Peace and security can never be ensured where sovereignty is violated.

The U.S. imperialism is the reactionary of history making desperate efforts to stubbornly maintain the old international order.

The U.S. imperialists insist in the unipolar order of hegemony, contending that international order should be maintained with the U.S. as its core.

They have established not only the world political security system but also the international economic order in their favor, and are getting engrossed in exploitation and plunder of other countries.

The old international monetary system is only for the U.S. imperialism seeking to restrict other countries by its financial system.

The way for achieving global independence is to hold higher the banner of anti-U.S. struggle. Only when the U.S. imperialism is set as the main target of strike and all the tentacles of its domination and aggression stretched out to the whole world are cut off, is it possible to build a free and peaceful world.

Global independence will be hastened through the staunch anti-U.S. struggle. -0-
