Press Statement of Choe Son Hui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea
Referring again to the "abduction issue", Japanese Prime Minister Kishida clarified his stand to keep making efforts under the former policy so as to solve a number of pending problems between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Japan.
I cannot understand the reason why he keeps insisting on the problems which cannot be realized and solved, doggedly denying and ignoring the reality.
We can neither solve anything as regards the so-called "abduction issue" talked about by Japan nor have obligation or will to make efforts.
I clearly emphasize once again.
The DPRK-Japan dialogue is not a matter of our concern and we will not allow any attempt of Japan for contact.
And we will always cope resolutely with any bid of Japan to hinder and meddle in our exercise of sovereignty.
This is the stand of the government of the DPRK.
