The Sangwon Cement Complex marked its 40th birthday on March 26.

The complex has a large share of the ongoing efforts to usher in a great golden age of construction in the country.

It has cement and refractory factories, a limestone mine and the like and the overall process of the cement factory has been modernized.

It produces a large quantity of cement every year to send it to major construction sites.

The complex has striven to lay the foundation for the sustainable development of production for over 10 years to meet the growing demand for cement.

It has pushed forward with the introduction of an advanced continuous process control system and thereby updated the central control system of the first production line. The introduction of the advanced control system in the first line’s cooler, combustion, kiln and clinker transport processes has made it possible to improve the quality and productivity of cement while correctly grasping the state of operation of the equipment and ensuring rational control.

The complex also stepped up the manufacture of equipment and parts for the upgrading of the second production line.

In addition, it installed a computer-based automatic measuring system in the large reducers of raw materials and clinker crushers and introduced new additives to raise the coal combustion rate far more than before.

It applied a method of producing low-heat cement from clay slate, which had been discarded previously, to build up huge reserves for increased production.

Technicians of the complex turned the firebrick production process based on heavy oil into a production process combining high-temperature air combustion technology based on anthracite gasification and developed a refractory brick that is most effective in the normal operation of cement clinker kiln.

The complex turns out cement for common construction, seawater-resistant cement, paving cement and high-grade cement, and the quality of them is so high that they won the December 15 Medal of Quality which is awarded to best goods at home.

A new upsurge has been brought about in the production of limestone and gypsum, the main raw materials for cement production.

The primary and secondary crushing processes, in which new impactors have been introduced, and automated systems have been set up at crushing mills built at mines of the complex to break a large quantity of huge stones every day. The complex also introduced a new mining method, which is far superior to the previous one, to increase the mineral output.

In particular, it is pressing on with the work to ensure the normal operation and maintenance of mine cars.

Its mines have made the cars and cranes by tapping internal reserves to increase the mineral carrying capacity considerably.

They also recycle waste to make plastic bearings for electric cars and various drainage equipment parts.

The complex also established production processes based on modern science and technology, including the process of producing high-quality clinker with the medium-frequency induction furnace and electric smelting furnace, thus realizing the domestic production of various imported parts in the past decade.

At present, it is making big achievements in the production of cement in its efforts to attain the cement production goal for this year.
