Talks held between Chairman of Standing Committee of DPRK SPA and Chairman of Standing Committee of Chinese National People's Congress

Talks were held in Pyongyang on the 11th between Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Zhao Leji, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China.
Present at the talks were Kim Song Nam, Director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, Liu Jianchao, Head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and other members of the party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China and Wang Yajun, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the DPRK.
The talks discussed the issues for further developing the traditional DPRK-China friendly relations by actively promoting the exchanges and cooperation in all fields including politics, the economy and culture true to the noble intention of the leaders of the two parties and two countries who declared this significant year marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the People's Republic of China a "year of the DPRK-China friendship".
And opinions on the regional and international issues of mutual concern were exchanged.
The talks were followed by a ceremony of signing the agreements between the governments and institutions of the DPRK and the People's Republic of China.
