Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China (GAKC) held events at the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin of China on April 15 to celebrate the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung , the greatest auspicious holiday of the Korean nation.
Floral baskets in the names of the association, its affiliated organizations and Koreans' organizations and compatriots in China were laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the school.
The participants made a deep bow to the statue in humble reverence for Kim Il Sung .
Then the association held a meeting to celebrate his 112th birth anniversary.
Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and officials of the association, representatives of its affiliated organizations, leading officials of Koreans' organizations in China and other compatriots, officials of the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang and DPRK citizens working in three northeastern provinces of China.
Among the participants were also the director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, a deputy mayor of the Jilin City People's Government and the director of its Foreign Affairs Office, the secretary of Party Committee at the school and other officials of China.
Choe Un Bok made a report at the meeting.
An art performance was given at the People's Grand Theatre in Jilin City. Put on the stage were numbers in praise of the greatness of President Kim Il Sung , Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un .
A celebration reception was given on the same day.
Earlier on April 13, there was a meeting for adopting a congratulatory letter to Kim Jong Un at a GAKC conference hall in Shenyang City of China.
Meanwhile, such events as a documentary film show, a celebration meeting and round-table talks were held at the Zhongnan, Mudanjiang and other regional associations and branches under the GAKC. -0-
