President Kim Il Sung of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea received many titles not only from the Korean people but from the world people throughout his revolutionary life, as he performed enduring exploits for the times and history.
“Our leader,” “Ever-victorious, iron-willed commander,” “Peerless patriot”…
A title “benevolent father of the people” out of them evokes friendly feelings of Koreans toward him.
Whenever he visited the houses of ordinary working people at coal and other mines, farms and fishing villages, the President opened their rice chests and whenever he dropped in at a shop, he unceremoniously tasted bean paste to be supplied to the people.
His joy, happiness, anxiety and worry were all concerned with the affairs of people.
That’s why the Korean people unreservedly called him “father.”
Their reverence for the President who devoted himself to their wellbeing throughout his life is also reflected in a title “Our leader.”
The title comprehensively represents their boundless affection for the outstanding leader and dear father who embraced them and brought them up to be the motive force of history and the masters of the times.
The world people, too, bestowed the highest titles on President Kim Il Sung who founded the immortal Juche idea and conducted outstanding ideo-theoretical activities to give a beacon of hope to them.
They praised him as “representative of the 20th century,” “prominent leader of mankind,” “great thinker,” “founder of the idea for all mankind,” “gifted thinker and theoretician,” “outstanding leader of the world revolution” and “man steering the world revolution.”
