The Russian permanent first deputy representative to the UN denounced the US’ shameless behaviour at the UNSC meeting on April 18.
Referring to the US claim that the UNSC could not properly settle the issue on the protection of the humanitarian activists working in the Gaza Strip because Russia and China exercised veto, he said it is a downright lie and trick.
It is not the first time for the US to try to deceive the international community by resorting to such shameless and mean ploy, he asserted, adding that nothing can be expected from such country which wielded its veto four times against the resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire and labels the resolution on ceasefire which was adopted later as a decision with no legally binding force.
The US cannot evade its responsibility for the direct complicity in the killing of more than 200 humanitarian activists and nearly 34 000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip of Palestine, he stated.
