North Phyongan Province is directing great efforts to education from the viewpoint and stand that education guarantees its regional development.
With an insight into the position of Sinuiju Teachers Training College in narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas in educational levels, it saw to it that a main building, gym, e-library and dormitory were rebuilt in a vast area.
In particular, it ensured that virtual-reality experience rooms and basic science education rooms based on a system of virtual inspection of the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang were built as suited to the characteristics of the college with the majority of the students from rural areas, and a computer network was established in each dormitory room for students to study in their rooms.
With the support of the province, the college has created over 20 excellent research-type teaching and studying methods.
The province also took practical measures to further strengthen cooperation and organic ties between normal education and general education.
It saw to it that officials and teachers in the teachers training sector took part as members of the jury or observers in the symposiums on teaching methods and experience of education and the teaching contests organized by the general education sector so that the contents of normal education kept abreast of the actual requirements.
Amid the dynamic drive for developing education in the province, excellent experiences are being gained one after another by different educational institutions.
