Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK directs efforts to laying material and technical foundations for normal operation of regional-industry factories to be newly built.
The North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea has intensified policy-oriented guidance over the work to strengthen the productive foundation of raw material bases and train skilled workers in a far-sighted and planned way so that regional-industry factories can prove effective in production.
Meanwhile, it has taken economic and practical measures to expand the area of forests of trees for producing paper and oil-bearing trees by newly finding or reclaiming thousands of hectares of land.
The provincial people's committee and the provincial rural economy committee built new pumping stations at the raw material production bases and finished the planned irrigation project.
The provincial fishery management bureau and the provincial telecommunications management bureau renovated the buildings at raw materials production stations in Kyongsong and Orang counties.
The training of technicians and skilled workers is progressing apace.
The Susongchon General Foodstuff Factory, the Chongjin Condiments Factory and other factories have organized technical workshops suited to each occupation so as to improve the technical skills of employees.
All cities and counties in the province have reinforced the ranks of teachers at vocational technology schools and provided computers, liquid crystal TVs and scientific and technological data necessary for teaching, thus making substantial progress in training technicians and skilled workers. -0-
