SPA Standing Committee chairman inspects different sectors of North Hwanghae, Nampho

Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly, inspected different sectors of North Hwanghae Province and Nampho City.
Looking round the Unjong Livestock Farm under the North Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee and an animal husbandry institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science, Choe learned about the production and supply of dairy products and scientific research and called on officials, working people and researchers to fulfill their duty with a high sense of being directly responsible for implementing the Party’s childcare policy.
At the Migok Farm in Sariwon, the Chongsan Farm in Kangso District and the Chonggye Cotton Farm in Pongsan County, he acquainted himself with the progress of the immediate farming process, encouraging agricultural workers concentrating all efforts on farming with the determination to glorify this year with laudable good harvests.
Saying that officials should give scientific guidance over farming in line with the Party policy, he pointed to the need to finish rice-transplantation qualitatively at the right time, scientifically manage the nutrition of planted seedlings and manure and cultivate earlier crops such as wheat and barley, take thorough measures for overcoming the adverse effects of abnormal weather conditions and further perfect irrigation systems.
He also underlined the need to disseminate agricultural science and technology in an effective way and increase the proportion of farm work done by machines by laying solid material and technical foundations of farm machine repair centres and called on deputies to power organs to fulfil their responsibility and role in implementing the Party’s agricultural policy.
As he inspected the Sariwon Food Administration Station, he said that it should carry out its food processing plan without fail, being fully aware of the importance of its duty in improving the people’s dietary life.
At raw materials base development companies in Sariwon City and Kangso District, he said that success in implementing the Party’s regional industry development policy depends on the role of officials and called on them to draw realistic plans for the creation of such bases to suit local economic conditions and persistently carry out them.
