Russian presidential press secretary Dmitri Peskov criticized the measures of the US and the West at a press conference on May 14.
As to the measure taken by the US administration to prohibit the import of Russian uranium, he disclosed that the US has used every means and method possible as it finds it hard to compete with Russia in the international arena and distorted and destroyed all international trade regulations.
Saying that the US’ measure does not pose a serious threat to Russia, he emphasized that the Russian atomic energy field is leading the world and has great competitive power.
He branded as groundless the accusation of the West that his country is mounting a false information campaign and mixed offensive and its anti-Russia diplomatic measures and declared that the Russian government would powerfully counter all such accusations.
