Active efforts are made in the light industry sector of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to make the consumer goods multifarious and diverse and improve their quality.
The Ryuwon Footwear Factory produces various kinds of shoes by directing efforts to improving the quality of the products and developing new goods.
It is associated with the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who was concerned to provide the people with good-quality shoes.
When he visited it for the second time, the factory was producing various kinds of shoes for exercise and different sports events with the modern equipment it manufactured and installed.
Ri Chun Hui, Workshop Head of the Ryuwon Footwear Factory, says:
"On October 18, 2017 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited our remodelled factory and saw the new products we developed.
He said the shoes produced at the factory are various in kind and shape and also wonderful in colour and stressed the need to diversify shoes to increase their varieties.
That day, he also said: Most of the sports shoes have strings to tighten up. You should make sports shoes without strings and the ones with Velcro. People don't buy the ones that do not fit their tastes and aesthetic feelings. So, the shoes should be made according to the tastes and aesthetic sense of the people."
The "Ryuwon"-trademarked shoes have become popular consumer goods favoured by men and women of all ages thanks to Kim Jong Un who made his devoted efforts to provide the people with shoes suited to their tastes and aesthetic feelings, keeping their conveniences above all else.
