Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- Upon hearing the news of the 20th Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), all the people are fully determined to glorify the plenary meeting in which the indomitable militant spirit of the Party will be powerfully demonstrated once again, with signal successes in implementing the Party's decision, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an editorial.
All the officials, Party members and other working people who have turned out in the drive for implementing the decision of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK are registering meaningful and valuable successes proving the comprehensive development of the country one after another while giving full play to their offensive spirit in increasing the national power and on all fronts of socialist construction from the beginning of this year's advance, says the editorial, adding:
We are now at a very important and responsible stage in implementing the decisions of the Eighth Party Congress and the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Party.
Now is the time for us to lead precious achievements made by our sincere efforts and painstaking devotion to greater substantial success while redoubling the spirit of making the first step of advance for this year.
To fulfill the first half-yearly plan is a campaign for defending the prestige of the Party and implementing its decisions. Herein lies the way of brilliantly recording this year in the history of the country as a year of great change again and securing a clear practical guarantee for carrying out the five-year plan.
We have a proud tradition of having proved that the Party’s plan and determination are a science and victory with our successes and also have confidence and strength for carrying out any huge task and overcoming any difficulties.
It is the ideological and spiritual qualities and fighting spirit peculiar to the Korean people to make uninterrupted innovations and leap forward without being complacent with successes.
The editorial calls upon all the people to successfully carry out the first half-yearly plan through indomitable struggle with strong will, stubborn practical ability, redoubled efforts and thus fully demonstrate once again the revolutionary traits of the Korean people sharing the idea and intention with the Party and keeping step with it. -0-
