The Central Committee of the Dancers Union of Korea is putting efforts into the development of national dance.
The union is substantially operating the Subcommittee of Critics and the Subcommittee of Choreographers with main stress on correctly carrying forward and developing the national dance of Korea and widening the mental horizon of creators and artistes in the field of dance. It also releases articles of diverse forms giving a substantial help to retaining the true colours of the national dance of Korea and making it more elegant.
In addition, the union frequently organizes aesthetic symposium for providing those concerned with an understanding of the system and principle of the national dance, and the peculiar and unique charm and flavour of the Korean dance and takes practical measures for the creators and artistes of scientific research units in the field of dance art and art organizations and the teachers of dance educational institutions to share their successes and experiences and strengthen cooperation.
