Wreaths laid before Liberation Tower and Cemetery of Fallen Soldiers of Soviet Army

Staff members of the embassy of the Russian Federation in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea laid a wreath before the Liberation Tower in Pyongyang on the 12th on the occasion of the National Day of Russia.
Guards of honour of the Korean People's Army were lining up at the tower.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Alexandr Matsegora, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Russia, and staff members of his embassy, and diplomatic representatives and military attaches of different countries in the DPRK.
Amid the playing of wreath-laying music, a wreath was placed before the Liberation Tower in the name of the embassy of the Russian Federation.
The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs of the Soviet army before looking round the tower.
That day, staff members of the Russian embassy and diplomatic representatives and military attaches of different countries laid a wreath and flowers at the Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Soviet Army in Sadong District, Pyongyang.
Meanwhile, staff members of the consulate general of the Russian Federation in Chongjin also placed bouquets before the Liberation Tower and the Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Soviet Army in the city of Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province.
