The 31st Plenary Meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on the 13th.
The meeting was presided over by Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA of the DPRK.
Present there were Vice-Chairmen Kang Yun Sok and Kim Ho Chol, Secretary General Ko Kil Son and members of the Standing Committee of the SPA.
Also on hand as observers were officials concerned of the Standing Committee of the SPA, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries and national agencies.
The meeting brought up as agenda items the issue on examining and adopting the law of the DPRK on deputies to the people's assemblies at all levels and the issue on electing judges and people's assessors of the Central Court.
It heard a report on the main contents of the draft laws concerned examined at the Legislation Committee of the SPA.
The meeting studied and deliberated on the opinions on the draft laws presented and adopted the law of the DPRK on deputies to the people's assemblies at all levels and others as decrees of the Standing Committee of the SPA.
It elected judges and people's assessors of the Central Court of the DPRK.
