Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Celebration events took place in Pakistan, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Kyrgyzstan and Venezuela to mark the 60th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il 's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Speeches were made there attended by political and social personages and masses of those countries.
Personages of the Pakistan Awami National Party, the National Party and the Pakistan-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee said that Kim Jong Il 's start of work at the WPK Central Committee was a historic event that provided a sure guarantee for developing the WPK. And they noted that he had led the WPK to victory without the slightest vacillation despite the imperialists' moves to stifle the DPRK.
The chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party said that the great Comrade Kim Jong Il was an outstanding statesman as he performed distinguished feats in strengthening the WPK and defending the sovereignty of the country.
The chairperson of the Switzerland-Korea Committee praised Kim Jong Il 's party-building exploits, saying that June 19, 1964 is a significant day when a new landmark was recorded in the history of the WPK and socialist Korea.
The chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Norway-Korea Friendship Association and the chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association praised Kim Jong Il as a great revolutionary and outstanding leader who made great contributions to turning the DPRK into a powerful country and accomplishing the cause of global independence and as the leader of the people who devoted his all to the wellbeing of the people and prosperity of the country.
The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association and the chief of the Danish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea praised the immortal history of Kim Jong Il 's party guidance, saying that the Korean people have won victory after victory, invariably advancing along the road of socialism under the wise guidance of Comrade Kim Jong Un who carried forward the cause of President Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il .
The general coordinator of the Federal Political Secretariat of the United Left Party of Venezuela stressed it is great confidence and encouragement to them that the WPK led by Comrade Kim Jong Un is guiding the building of a powerful socialist country to victory while achieving world-startling successes.
Congratulatory messages to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden. -0-
