Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in key industries of the DPRK are working fresh miracles and innovations to implement the tasks set forth at the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Workers in the metallurgical industry have been boosting the production since the first day of the second half of the year.
Those of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex improve on the previous production records while directing main effort to finding out a reasonable method for the operation of oxygen heat blast furnace and an advanced melting method.
The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and the Chollima Steel Complex, too, are striving to attain the ambitious goals for iron and steel production and carry out the projects for putting production processes on a Juche basis.
The Musan Mining Complex is raising the operation rate of large equipment to a higher stage.
Dynamic progress is also made in the chemical industry.
The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex are putting spurs to the increased production campaign, while strengthening the cooperation among processes to put production on a higher scientific basis. Officials and workers of the February 8 Vinalon Complex are making efforts to increase the production of chemical goods while concentrating their efforts on the local production of major materials and catalysts.
The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and other power producers are increasing the output of power per every generator.
Coal miners concentrate tunneling forces on major pits, introduce rational blasting methods suited to rock conditions and conduct the socialist patriotic movement for increased coal production.
Officials and workers in the machine-building industry are waging a drive for production and creation. Signal successes have been made in the mining and forestry industries, too. -0-
