Massive candlelight resistance demanding impeachment of puppet Yoon Suk Yeol took place in the Republic of Korea.
The 97th candlelight rally and demonstration were held in Seoul on the 6th under the theme "See clearly! The angry public sentiment for impeachment!".
Speakers including the co-representative of the Candlelight Action insisted that the present crisis for impeachment was brought by Yoon Suk Yeol, war maniac, fascist dictator and destroyer of the people's living, and condemned his crimes against peace, democracy and people.
They said Yoon Suk Yeol has been deceiving the people and resorting to all kinds of maladministration for maintaining his dictatorial power during the whole period of his stay in office. That's why more than 1,230,000 people joined in the petition campaign for his impeachment, they added.
Noting that the campaign will get fiercer as long as Yoon persists in war moves and fascist dictatorship, they called on the people from all walks of life to fight staunchly for his impeachment.
The participants staged a demonstration, chanting slogans including "Let's impeach Yoon Suk Yeol with ten million-strong petition campaign and one million-strong candlelight struggle!" and "Let's raise the storm of impeachment and demonstrate our mettle!".
Meanwhile, a grand candlelight march was staged in Taegu under the sponsorship of the Taegu Candlelight Action, demanding impeachment of Yoon Suk Yeol and introduction of special prosecution system against Kim Kon Hui.
