The Thosong Pharmaceutical Factory in the capital city of Pyongyang is one of the medicine producers contributing to the improvement of the people's health.
The factory produces over 60 kinds of medicines.
The Koryo medicines, in particular, produced at the factory including Thosong Chonghyol Pills, Sin Gung Pills and Insam Capsules against Hepatitis are highly estimated by the users for their good efficacy.
This is attributable to the persevering efforts of the factory which regarded it as the main link in the whole chain of the unit's development to strengthen its own technical forces.
The factory collected advanced scientific and technological data to build a large database in the sci-tech learning space.
And it encouraged the employees to constantly acquire expertise necessary for production in the sci-tech learning space.
In addition, the factory boldly involved able workers and technicians in the development of new products and assigned them technical innovation tasks so that they could fully display their creativity in practice.
In the course, the level and ability of the technicians and skilled workers of the factory have been raised day by day and successes made in the development of medicines.
Technical Assistant Kim Kyong Ok says:
"We are intensifying the research to develop medicines efficacious for cardioneurosis and ischemic heart disease. We will develop a larger number of efficacious Koryo medicines and thus make an active contribution to the improvement of the people's health."
Now the factory is working hard to widen the domain of medicine development by relying on its own technical forces.
