Memorial events were held at the Social Confederation of Koreans in Russia on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the demise of the great leader Kim Il Sung.
Members of the confederation laid a floral basket before a painting of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Russia and paid tribute to them on the 7th.
A memorial meeting of the confederation was held in Moscow on the 8th.
Present at the meeting were Kim Chil Song, Chairman of the International Social Confederation of Koreans and Chairman of the Social Confederation of Koreans in Russia, and members of the Social Confederation of Koreans in Russia.
Speeches were made.
The speakers said Kim Il Sung devoted himself to the people throughout his life and so, he enjoyed heartfelt respect and reverence of the people.
The politics of independence enforced by Kim Il Sung is invariably carried forward, they said and stressed that the DPRK is demonstrating its might as a dignified independent power under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
