An enlarged plenary meeting of the Cabinet Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea took place on July 14 to implement the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
Present there were Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, Pak Jong Gun, vice-premier and chairman of the State Planning Commission, Ri Chol Man, vice-premier and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, and other members and alternate members of the Cabinet Party committee and officials concerned.
The meeting reviewed in detail the Cabinet's work in the first half of the year for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting and the 19th Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK. And it discussed the measures to be taken by the Cabinet Party Committee to carry out the policy tasks for the Cabinet and the state economic guidance organs on the basis of the orientation and guidelines set forth by the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
Ri Yong Sik, chief secretary of the Cabinet Committee of the WPK, made a report.
The reporter said that the tasks set forth by the recent plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the WPK serve as a precious action programme and powerful militant banner indicating the most correct path for making strenuous advance towards the victorious conclusion of 2024 and scientific ways for making continuous innovations and leaps forward to maintain the upturn in socialist construction.
The plenary meeting analyzed and reviewed in detail the shortcomings revealed in the implementation of the Party decisions in the first half of the year and their causes.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
The meeting adopted an additional decision to ensure the thorough and perfect implementation of the policy tasks set forth by the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
