Enlarged plenary meetings of the Party committees of the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, the Pyongyang Construction Commission, the State Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports were held between the 11th and 14th to implement the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present at the plenary meetings were members and alternate members of the Party committees of those units. Also on hand as observers were officials concerned.
The meetings analyzed and summed up the work for the implementation of the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the WPK and the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee in the first half of the year and seriously discussed the measures for carrying out the tasks for their sectors and units in the latter half of the year on the basis of the guidelines of struggle clarified at the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
