A Joint Memorial Meeting of Asia-Pacific Region "President Kim Il Sung, Outstanding Leader of Human Cause of Independence" was recently held in Katumandu on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the demise of the great President Kim Il Sung under the co-sponsorship of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, the Nepalese National Memorial Commission for President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il and the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association.
Present there were officials of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee and personages of the political parties and organizations of different countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan and members of the Juche idea study organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.
A keynote report was made by the Chairman of the Nepalese National Memorial Commission for President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il which was followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers spoke highly of the sacred revolutionary life and exploits of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the greatness of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who demonstrates all over the world the valiant spirit of Juche Korea, powerful independent country.
An appeal of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People to the world peace loving people was made public.
The appeal stressed the need to conduct activities to praise President Kim Il Sung and His Excellency Kim Jong Il who provided an eternal foundation of dignity and prosperity of powerful and prosperous Korea and rendered distinguished services to the human cause of independence.
It also called for widely introducing the reality of Korea which achieves miraculous successes changing the time and moving the world and extending full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people.
Noting that 2025 is a significant year marking the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation and the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the appeal ardently called on all once again to make the next year a year of special importance in the common activities supporting the just cause of the Korean people, in close contact with the world peace-loving people and the progressives.
A message to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
