Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- The Nicaraguan embassy here hosted an event at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Friday to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the victorious Sandinist people's revolution.
Present there on invitation were Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Ra Yun Bak and officials concerned of the DPRK and diplomatic envoys and members of foreign embassies in the DPRK.
Nicaraguan Ambassador Manuel Modesto Munguia Martinez was on hand.
Speeches were made at the event.
The Nicaraguan ambassador referred to the historic significance of the victorious Sandinist people's revolution and denounced the U.S. imperialists' anti-Nicaragua moves.
He wished HE Marshal Kim Jong Un , supreme leader of the DPRK, good health and bigger success in his work for leading the great country.
Ra Yun Bak said that the victory of the revolution was an important event in the history of Nicaragua as it rejected the outsiders' domination and interference and strongly promoted the independent development.
Expressing full support to the Nicaraguan government and people in their struggle for building a new society, he stressed that the peoples of the two countries would always stand together on the road of independence against imperialism.
Then the participants watched a video dealing with the Sandinist people's revolution. -0-
