The Pyongyang Children's Department Store is at the centre of the capital city of Pyongyang.
One day in May Juche 101(2012), the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un visited the department store nearing completion.
Ham Hye Gyong, Official of the Pyongyang Children's Department Store, says:
"That day, the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un taught one by one how to build playing areas on each floor.
Afterwards, he sent thousands of items of equipment for the indoor playing areas to our department store before its opening.
On July 2, 2012, he came to our department store again and said:
The playing areas have been built well. When the children see different kinds of peculiar playing equipment in these areas of the department store, they will play here, not following their parents.
As they will be reluctant to go home once they are interested in the playing areas, the parents won't need to worry about losing them. That's why I proposed building the playing areas in the Pyongyang Children's Department Store."
The playing areas in the Pyongyang Children's Department Store are filled with children's laughter all the time.
