A men's football match between the April 25 and Amnokgang teams took place at Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang on September 8 on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Thae Song, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, and other senior Party and government officials.
Watching the match were labour innovators and meritorious persons who have contributed to the struggle for attaining the 12 major goals for national economic development, officials and servicepersons of the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Public Security, officials of the Cabinet, ministries and national agencies, teaching staff and students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School and Pyongyang citizens.
Veteran cadres, who had worked for a long time at important posts of the Party, government and military, also watched the match.
The April 25 beat the Amnokgang 3-1 in the match.
