The Korea Biomedicine Association formed in June Juche 111 (2022) is a public organization that embraces scientists, technicians and other persons involved in the biomedical field across the country.
The association aims to contribute to the development of the country’s medical sciences and technology by promoting various sci-tech exchanges in creating and generalizing advanced and valuable research results.
Every year it hosts a variety of activities such as symposium, seminar, presentation, prize contest and exhibition, which provides a window of opportunity for addressing sci-tech problems arising in the development of efficacious medicines conducive to the prevention and treatment of diseases.
In August it sponsored a seminar on the development of recombinant vaccines and therapeutic drugs at the Sci-Tech Complex in the capital city of Pyongyang.
At the event, proposals for the treatment and prevention of refractory diseases, conducive to the medical practice, were presented and there was a technical lecture on the development of the domestic biomedical industry.
“We will continue to help create and publicize valuable research results in the field and work towards exchange with foreign partners to play our part in the international development of biomedical technology,” said Chairman Pak Sun Phil.
