An oratorical meeting of youth and students was held at the plaza of the Arch of Triumph on August 15 to carry forward the revolutionary spirit of Paektu.
Present there were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and youth and students in Pyongyang.
At the meeting, the performers praised the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation by leading the arduous anti-Japanese war to brilliant victory, and the personality of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un as the peerlessly great man who ushers in a new era of creation and change on this land with his outstanding and seasoned leadership.
Oratory “Traces of Love” touched the heartstrings of the participants as it tells about the ardent feelings and love of the respected fatherly Marshal who defines the realization of people’s cherished desire as the most important of all state affairs and continues his journey of devoted service for their peace and wellbeing.
Then a procession of youth and students began to carry forward the revolutionary spirit of Paektu amid the playing of the immortal revolutionary hymn “Song of General Kim Il Sung .”
Seen in front of the procession were the portraits of anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners including Kim Chaek, Choe Hyon, Kim Il, O Paek Ryong and Choe Chun Guk who provided the origin of the tradition of victory to go down through the history of the country.
Looking at the columns advancing proudly, the citizens cherished the conviction that the revolutionary cause of Juche would always emerge victorious as there are a large unit of successors, a large army of patriotic youth, who dynamically work for the prosperity and development of the state.
