Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- Kim Chaek University of Technology of the DPRK is a pedigree establishment for training people talented in science and technology and a reliable scientific research base which is vigorously promoting the development of science and technology and the economic construction of the country.
The university, which was founded as the first comprehensive university of industrial technology of the country in September Juche 37 (1948), has developed into the highest seat of sci-tech education for training people talented in science and technology under the care of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il .
Giving field guidance at the university on September 2018 which marks the 70th founding anniversary, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that it is a university which has made a great contribution to the education in science and technology in the DPRK, the independent development of the national economy and the strengthening of the national defence capability.
True to his noble intention, the university has produced many October 8 Model Instructors and winners of University Student Scientific Research Prize and made a lot of achievements in scientific researches, thus contributing to training talents and developing the country's economy.
The pedagogical structure of education type has been turned into one of research type and new faculties and subjects including the sectors of biomedical science and aerospace have appeared to be a university with a comprehensive academic structure.
Students have prepared themselves as talents of creation- practice-type who will shoulder the building of a powerful socialist country, and displayed their ability in national competitions and international arenas, demonstrating the honor of the university.
The university has developed programs necessary for establishing standardized integrated production systems at regional-industry factories and worked out technical plans for their introduction, thus contributing to implementing the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on regional development.
It has completed the technical development for establishing rare earth industry and started the construction of an intermediate test process for the development and production of application products. And it has concentrated all its efforts on important researches conducive to bolstering up the national power of the country. -0-
