The DPRK Cabinet hosted a reception at the Okryu Restaurant in Pyongyang on October 2 to welcome the DPRK women's football team which won the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Present there were Premier Kim Tok Hun, who is also member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Il Guk, General Secretary of the Football Association Sin Yong Chol, players and coaches of the women's football team and their families, officials in the sports field and officials concerned.
Kim Tok Hun made congratulatory remarks.
He expressed belief that the players who displayed the bright prospects of the DPRK's women's football would win victory after victory in international games, firmly holding the Asian and world championship titles in the future, too.
Player Choe Il Son in her reply speech pledged to make greater successes in international games by training harder without resting on her laurels.
