The Workers' Party of Korea has a nearly 80-year-long history as the ruling party.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK, visited the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK on October 17, Juche 111(2022).
In his historic lecture before the teaching staff and students of the school that day, he presented the building of politics, organization, ideology, discipline and work style as the direction of our Party building in the new era.
The direction of our Party building is to strengthen the WPK into the one politically mature, organizationally strong, ideologically pure, strict in discipline and sound in work style as demanded by the new era.
The history of the world socialist movement gave a historic lesson that a ruling party, which is politically feeble, organizationally and ideologically unsteady and infested with indiscipline and wrong work style, can neither lead the revolution correctly nor serve the people properly.
The direction of Party building in the new era is an original path indicated on the basis of a correct view and scientific diagnosis of the historic lessons of the world socialist movement and our actual conditions.
The Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held at the end of December Juche 111(2022) officially adopted the direction of Party building in the new era clarified by Kim Jong Un as a line of the Party.
The direction of Party building in the new era is a great programme for Party building which provided a fundamental guarantee to accelerate the socialist and communist construction.
