Greetings to President of State Affairs Kim Jong Un from Syrian President
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greetings from Bashar Al-Assad, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, on the 7th.
The message extended congratulations to Kim Jong Un on the 79th founding anniversary of the WPK and said the WPK led the Korean people to honourably defend the freedom and independence of the country and rallied all the people to lay the foundation of socialism and build a prosperous and powerful country.
It also said the Arab Socialist Baath Party and the WPK are in the joint struggle of maintaining the firm principles and ideals and of realizing the noble purpose corresponding to the global peace, security and prosperity as well as the interests of Syrian and Korean people. It expressed a will to make joint efforts to strengthen the relations between the two parties and develop the bilateral cooperation in line with the interests and well-being of the friendly peoples of the two countries.
The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness.
It also hoped that the WPK would always achieve success and prosperity and the DPRK would be constantly strengthened and developed.
