South Phyongan Province increases the production of goat milk as it strives to implement the childcare policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
It is concentrating on building new goat farms and securing goats of good breed.
The province secured superior breeding goats to send them to cities and counties and obtained tens of thousands of goats this year alone by getting relevant areas to increase them.
It has made sure that more grass fields are created and scientific breeding methods are introduced in keeping with the growing number of the animals. Particularly, it has ensured that the nutrition management and anti-epizootic work are carried out in a responsible manner to increase the fattening rate of kids.
Meanwhile, the province produced and secured hundreds of tons of powdered milk till the end of September to ensure the regular supply of dairy products for children, unaffected by seasons.
A provincial official said that the generalization of experience of advanced areas and units proved effective in the production of dairy products.
