Several farms in the city of Nampho reaped a bumper harvest by dint of scientific farming.
The Chongsan Farm in Kangso District overfulfilled its rice, wheat, corn, bean, vegetable, meat, egg and milk production assignments by actively applying scientific farming methods and constantly strengthening foundations of production.
The Unha Farm and the Jungak Farm in Onchon County introduced seeds of good strains suitable for tideland farming and readjusted and reinforced the irrigation system in conformity to the characteristics of the region with many tidelands, producing over 1.2 tons of grains more than before per hectare.
Meetings for year-end account settlement and income distribution were held on the spot.
