The Kangwon Provincial Sci-Tech Library was newly built in the modern port city of Wonsan, boasting of its fashionable architectural beauty. The library has all conditions for information service, study, discussion and dissemination, and all sorts of exhibitions.
As a result, another powerful base has been provided to make all people well-versed in science and technology.
The provincial sci-tech library was inaugurated with due ceremony on the 2nd.
Present at the ceremony were Paek Song Guk, Chief Secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials, working people and youth and students in the province, and employees of the library.
An inaugural address was made by Kim Kwang Chol, Vice-Chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round different places of the library.
