Trade union officials and members from across the country went on a study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu.
They held a meeting before the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo on the 4th.
They laid a floral basket and bouquets before the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Il Sung at the monument.
Choe Jong Chol, Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, spoke, which was followed by speeches.
The speakers said the study tour will be a course of enabling the trade union officials and members to further harden their indomitable will to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche, keeping in their hearts the pure loyalty and indefatigable revolutionary spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.
They stressed that through the march, all the trade union officials and members should steadily defend the revolutionary traditions of the Paektu and clearly demonstrate the revolutionary faith of the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il firmly believing and following only the Workers' Party of Korea.
After the meeting, the participants looked round the monument and started their march.
