Women's union officials from across the country started a march for study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu.
They held a meeting in the education yard before the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on the 6th.
They laid bouquets before the bronze statue of Kim Il Sung.
Jon Hyang Sun, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, spoke at the meeting and speeches were made.
The speakers said their study tour will serve as an occasion of further hardening the faith and will of the women's union officials to firmly arm themselves with the indomitable revolutionary spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and discharge their responsibility and duty in the struggle for achieving the overall development of Korean-style socialism in the new era of national prosperity under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
They expressed their resolve to fully demonstrate the might of the women's union on today's general onward march for hastening the overall development of Korean-style socialism with great spiritual strength and patriotic devotion.
After the meeting, the marchers looked round the Samjiyon Grand Monument.
