Officials of the ministries and national institutions did the first Friday labour of the new year at farms in the city of Pyongyang seething with preparations for farming on the 10th.
They went to the Kumchon Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District, the Jangchon Vegetable Farm in Sadong District and the agricultural production workshop of the Central Zoo, carrying with themselves good-quality fertilizer and a lot of farming materials.
At the Kumchon Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District, those from the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Secretariat of the Cabinet and the State Planning Commission handed over small farm implements they prepared with sincerity to the farm and helped its farmers with their work.
Officials of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Light Industry and the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea helped farmers in their work at the Jangchon Vegetable Farm in Sadong District, a vegetable producer for the capital citizens.
Officials of many units including the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, the Mansudae Art Studio and the Central Bank also did a worthwhile Friday labour at the agricultural production workshop of the Central Zoo.
