The whole country is bubbling with jubilation from the outset of the new year as monumental structures, the first fruition of the implementation of the regional development policy, have been built one after another thanks to the devoted efforts for the people of the Central Committee of the great Workers’ Party of Korea which dynamically leads the sacred revolutionary cause for realizing the centuries-old desire of the people.

New splendid factories of the people were also inaugurated in Yonthan County, reflecting the sincere devotion of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who spares nothing for his beloved people and backed up by the lofty ideal of and aspiration for overall national rejuvenation.

With the completion of modern regional-industry factories in Yonthan County, widely known as a locality rich in Koryo medicinal resources and an aronia-growing area, the inhabitants have come to enjoy a new life, cherishing once again the advantages of the Korean-style socialist system in which all the policies of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the state are enforced for the promotion of well-being of the people.

An inaugural ceremony of regional-industry factories in Yonthan County took place on the spot on January 16.

Present at the ceremony were officials in North Hwanghae Province and Yonthan County, soldier-builders and employees of the regional-industry factories.

Pak Chang Ho, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the WPK, delivered an inaugural address.

He referred to the deep emotion and joy of greeting the significant new year with successive inaugurations of modern regional-industry factories, demonstrating the dynamic phase of regional development in the new era.

He said:

“The overall development of the provinces was set as the most important political task of the Party and the state and its brilliant entities have already been built in that year. This is a precious fruition of the noble love for the people and the great revolutionary leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who set forth the grand action programme for regional development and put his heart and soul into implementing it as he visited construction sites in all parts of the country in order to provide the people with civilized and happy living conditions.

“Today’s grand inauguration of the factories clearly demonstrates that a wonderful era is being ushered in as a reality in which the nicest factories of the people are built on our land by our efforts and the people's happiness is brought into full bloom with our own resources and technology.”

He called on the officials and employees of the factories to put production on a normal footing in the spirit of devoted service for the people and produce consumer goods with locally available raw and other materials as famous products and commodities favoured by the people.

He also called on the officials and working people of the province and county to devote all their loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm to the all-people drive for creation for implementing the grand plan and intention of the Party Central Committee and greet the Ninth Party Congress with proud labour successes.

Jon Nam Chol, chief secretary of the Yonthan County Party Committee, made a speech.

He expressed the will to fulfil his responsibility and duty as a leading personnel of the revolution in the gigantic struggle for bringing about regional changes and innovations in a multi-stage, three-dimensional and offensive way, true to the noble outlook on the people of the Party Central Committee that the Party’s all honour and pride lie in the eternal well-being of the people.

Amid the enthusiastic cheers and applause of the county people, the managers of the factories cut the inauguration tape.

Thousands of balloons flew up to beautifully decorate the clear blue sky over the township and fireworks of all shapes were set off in succession.

An art performance was given by the provincial art troupe to celebrate the inauguration of the regional-industry factories in Yonthan County.

After the ceremony was over, the participants looked round the modern factories.

All of them admired such foodstuffs as aronia fruit juice, fried glutinous rice cake and wheat paste, fragrant soaps, smart and convenient clothes and household goods, which were produced with raw materials available in the county.

Songs reflecting the glory and happiness the people are enjoying in the embrace of the Party and their ardent desire and will to devote their all to adding lustre to their motherland, faithfully supporting it with loyalty, resounded one after another and a cheerful dance was performed to add to the auspicious event of the inauguration.

That evening, fireworks were displayed to celebrate the inauguration of the regional-industry factories in the county.

The participants broke into cheers, watching the fireworks.
