Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- Women's union organizations at all levels in the DPRK render active support to various economic units and sectors seething with a dynamic drive for increased production and economization.
Those in South Hwanghae Province, Pyongyang and Rason municipalities and other parts of the country supplied more than 270 000 tons of organic manure to farms.
Women's union members in Chollima District of Nampho Municipality gathered more than 120 tons of scrap iron to contribute to increasing the iron and steel production at the Chollima Steel Complex. Women's union officials and members in South Hamgyong Province and Sunchon City of South Phyongan Province encouraged the workers at the Ryongsong Machine Complex, the February 8 Vinalon Complex, the Sunchon Cement Complex and other units, through their motivation activities.
Women's union officials and members at the Kangdong Area Coal-mining Complex have made a contribution to increasing coal production by conducting a do-good-thing movement at the Hungnyong Coal Mine and other units.
A women's union member in Soktap-dong, Songrim City of North Hwanghae Province, with her family members visited the Hwanghae Ion and Steel Complex to offer aid materials and encourage its workers.
Women's union members in Tongsin and Junggang counties of Jagang Province visited forestry stations to render aid materials to the workers and encourage them to produce more timber. -0-
