On February 9, there took place a groundbreaking ceremony of regional-industry factories and a hospital in Ryonggang County for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy.

Present at the ceremony were Pak Thae Song, premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, and other senior Party, government and military officials, service personnel of the Korean People's Army involved in the construction and officials and working people in Nampho Municipality and Ryonggang County.

Pak Thae Song addressed the ceremony.

He said that a model hospital as well as regional-industry factories would be simultaneously built in Ryonggang County, too, this year that has entered a new stage at which the regional development policy is further expanded and implemented in accordance with the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The construction of modern city and county hospitals according to the noble plan of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is an important undertaking which brooks no further delay as it is a very important affair related to the life and safety of regional people, and it is essential work for the comprehensive and sustained development of regions, he noted.

It is Comrade Kim Jong Un's intention that though the tasks to be carried out are heavy and huge, the construction projects promised to the people can never be postponed and a solid prospect for regional development in the new era should be provided with better successes than last year, he said, calling on the soldier-builders to regard the quality of construction as the primary criterion and direct all the processes of the project to it, and, in particular, to display the responsible and meticulous work style in the construction of the hospital whose every factor of process, sequence and construction work requires very high quality in health and hygienic and architectural aspects.

The most just and sacred mission and the most noble and important consciousness are further accelerating the historic struggle for regional rejuvenation in the new era, the premier said, calling for making precious successes in succession in the struggle to achieve regional rejuvenation for the happy laughter of the people across the country and for the future of the beloved country which will prosper forever.

A blasting was conducted to declare the start of the construction project.

Emotion-charged cheers resounded with the echo calling for advance toward the greater new revolution and the more innovative stage of development and toward the attainment of expanded higher goal in the huge creative struggle.
